Pastor Dan Miller

Pastor Dan Miller grew up in Detroit until moving to the West Branch, Michigan area at 11 years of age. There he met the Cottle family, and soon fit in just like another one of their children. While he lived there he attended West Branch Community Church, an independent holiness church, pastored by Bob Cottle, where he was saved in May of 1969. After his conversion he went to Mount Carmel High School, a holiness boarding school in Jackson, Kentucky . The Cottle kids from down the road attended there as well. While attending this high school, he traveled and sang with the acapella choir and a male quartet. At the age of 16, he started serving on the board of the American Holiness Camp Meeting Association. He has served on that board for 30 years, and served as the president for some time as well.

After he graduated from Mt. Carmel in 1975, He went to Kentucky Mountain Bible College (VanCleve, Kentucky), where he also traveled and sang with the choirs & quartets, graduating in 1978.Dan became the Assistant Pastor of the West Branch Community Church in June of 1978. After serving there for about a year, he finally married his childhood neighbor and friend, Rebecca Cottle, on June 12, 1981. Becky pursued her degree in teaching, a lifelong dream of hers, from Saginaw Valley State, and succeeded in getting her degree between kids! They have 5 children. Their first child was Daniel Jr., followed by John, Rebecca Joy, Joanna, and finally Jeremy.

During his ministry, Pastor Dan served for over 5 years on the Board of the local Crisis Pregnancy Center in West Branch. He also served on the board of Whispering Pines Camp in Manton, Michigan. He and Becky became a part of the ‘Camp Meeting Quartet’, and traveled and sang with the group for many years. In 2002 a new chapter in his ministry started when he moved to Luther, Michigan to pastor Edgetts Wesleyan Church. He has served on the North Michigan District Wesleyan Church building committee several times since coming to Luther. Today he is blessed with 12 granddaughters and 3 grandsons.
